Ever since last weekend's Great Dispersal I have felt a little out of sorts. Mom says it may take a while to get used to our new routine, especially now that I am the big sister and not the baby. This older-sister-being-responsible thing is hard! I like playing with Neon, but I don't want to watch over him all the time. I know, I know, I am a shepherd, but a girl has to have some time to herself!
A big part of our new routine is potty training. Mom is trying really hard to set a schedule to make learning easier for Neon. I am proud to say that, just like me, he is keeping Mom on her toes. He makes her stay up late, wake up early (it's fun to see mom hustle into a coat and boots while wearing PJ's), and in between take trips outside every hour or so. Neon also received his very own crate this week. Now he and I both have our own rooms in which to sleep and feel safe.
Finally, Mom reclaimed her office. It had been the whelping den for the puppies' birth and first eight weeks. Now the pool is gone, mom cleaned and cleaned and set up the space so that she and Aunt R can work. They have been in there nightly painting model horses and portraits for their start up business, Off The Track Designs. Check it out! http://offthetrackdesigns.webs.com/
I'm glad Mom has her office back, it's a fun room because it has a great big window in which I can sit and monitor the neighborhood. I sure didn't like the cleaning part though. My ears are very sensitive and, well...Death to the Vacuum!

P.S. Great News! Dealer, the black lab pup has found his forever home!
P.P.S. There are still many, many great dogs and cats and other critters searching for their forever homes. If you can, please check out your local shelters and rescue groups. I'm sure your new best friend is waiting!
